DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud ServicesThis role focuses on building, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring robust system reliability, scalability, and security across our services. The engineer will collaborate closely with developers and IT operations to deliver high-quality, automated solutions for infrastructure and deployment needs.Main Responsibilities:Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions primarily using AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and IAM.Administer and enhance infrastructure components including VPC, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, and network security groups.Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar automation tools.Monitor system performance and application health using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and AWS CloudWatch, handling incident response and reporting.Write efficient internal tools and scripts with Python and Go to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.Apply DevSecOps best practices, enforcing strong security standards and compliance across cloud environments.Support Linux system administration (primarily Debian and Ubuntu), including updates, troubleshooting, and system performance tuning.Assist in the containerization and orchestration of applications using Docker and, where relevant, Kubernetes.Work collaboratively to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of deployed solutions, and contribute to infrastructure roadmap improvements.Develop and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, automation, and operational processes.Technical Stack & Expected Skills:Cloud: Expert with AWS; familiarity with GCP or Azure considered an asset.Infrastructure & Networks: Deep understanding of VPC, VPN, network security, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls.Operating Systems: Strong background in Linux system administration (Debian, Ubuntu).Containers: Experienced with Docker; exposure to Kubernetes is beneficial.Automation & CI/CD: Proficient with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins; experience with Ansible or CircleCI is a bonus.Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with Terraform (required); knowledge of CloudFormation adds value.Monitoring & Logging: Familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and AWS CloudWatch.Programming & Scripting: Proficient in Python; knowledge of Go (Golang) is a plus.Cloud Providers: AWS is required; experience with IBM Cloud is appreciated.Security: Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and cloud security best practices.
